Lake Geneva, officially Lac Léman in France and Switzerland, is among the largest lakes in western Europe.

Part of its southern shore is French territory, the rest of the lake's shores are in Switzerland (map).

The Swiss cities of Geneva, Nyon, Lausanne, Veveyand Montreux are on its shores, as are the French spa towns of Thonon-les-Bains and Évian-les-Bains in the French département of Haute-Savoie.
