Intercités train or car are the usual ways to reach Limoges, but there are flights and buses as well.

Trains & Intercity Buses

Limoges is connected to Paris (3 hours) and Bordeaux (1-1/2 hours) by Intercités trains, and to other cities in the Limousin and Poitou-Charentes regions by TER regional trains.

The grand Gare de Limoges-Bénédictins, bedecked with allegorical reliefs and decorations, is easily recognizable by its lofty clock tower.

The train station is an easy 16- to 20-minute walk from the central Place de la République.

The Gare de Limoges-Bénédictins is also the city's Gare Routière (regional bus terminal). Buses to nearby cities and towns are listed on the Departures and Arrivals notice boards along with the trains.

Flights & Airports

The Aéroport International Limoges-Bellegarde, northwest of the city center off the E603/D941, boasts flights connecting Limoges with Paris, several cities in the United Kingdom, and Europe.

City Transport

The Société de transports en commun de Limoges Métropole (STCL) includes both city buses and trolleybuses.
