The Château of Azay-le-Rideau is a charming, relatively small château. Its claim to fame is its location, seeming to float on the Indre River.

The town offers picturesque narrow streets and a variety of restaurants and shops to explore. From the central parking area, a pedestrian street leads to the Château.

Located about midway between Tours and Chinon, the town is also the center of the Touraine Azay-le-Rideau wines, both white and rosé.
