The major attraction here is, of course, the dramatic Château de Chenonceau. More...

But the town of Chenonceaux (note that the town name ends in "x," while the château does not) is a nice place to visit as well. A short walk from the château will put you on the main street, where you can choose from a variety of restaurants or check out the Tourist Office.

While visiting the château, you might also want to visit the Musée des Cires, or Waxworks Museum, on the grounds.

After your visit, walk into town and enjoy one of the many cafés or restaurants for lunch or a drink.
