France Travel Planner by Tom Brosnahan & Jane Fisher   Night Fountain Shows, Versailles
Summer weekend evenings offer a wonderful chance to see the gardens and fountains!

The gardens of Versailles are wonderful at any time of year, any time of day. But for something really special, consider going for the Night Fountains Shows, offered on weekends from June to September.

The water works of Versailles are monumental and gorgeous, as are the gardens. Gonig to a Night Fountains Show lets you wander through the gardens and see a variety of fountains in action, some choreographed to period music.

The evenings are always popular and crowded, but the property is so big that you can always find something interesting to see.

You also have the option to get a combination ticket with the Sérénade Royale, a visit inside the Château with music and dance.

And if you stay around all evening, just before 11 PM there is a fabulous fireworks show!

On summer weekends there is also a Musical Fountains Show (The Grandes Eaux) during the day, and musical fountains (without water displays) several other times a week.
