Most of Grenoble's hotels are located near the train station (Gare de Grenoble SNCF), as is customary. The city center is quite walkable, and it's only about a 16-minute walk east from the train station to the major sights, shopping and restaurant areas (map). Deluxe HotelsThe 4-star, 67-room Le Grand Hôtel Grenoble was the city's prestigious address—and still is, with comfortable rooms only steps from Place Grenette and only a few minutes' walk from most of the sights. More... The 4-star, 118-room Novotel Grenoble Centre is on the west side of the train station, a bit farther from the city center, but nearer the business district; and a taxi or tram (right outside the front door) gets you to the sights quickly. More... Moderate LodgingsThe fine old 3-star, 39-room Hôtel de l'Europe overlooks Place Grenette right in the center of the action. More... The 23 small apartments/flats at the Résidence La Patricia are minimal on room, decor and accoutrements, but cheerful, useful and—most important—well-priced, secure, and well-located right in the center. We enjoyed our stay in No. 12. More... The 3-star, 71-room Ibis Grenoble Centre gives good value, as usual with Ibis, for its comforts and its very central location near Place Victor Hugo. Take the Victor Hugo tram line to go easily to the train station. More... Budget HotelsThe clean and tidy 2-star, 63-room Hôtel Suisse et Bordeaux is right on the Place de la Gare by the train station, offering fine value. Take the tram easily to the center—or walk. More... The 2-star, 48-room Logis Institut Hotel is also right near the train station offering good if simple rooms at good rates. More... Lots More Choices...More choices?
