The tidy Office de Tourisme in Amboise is on the main riverfront street, Quai du Général de Gaulle (map), an easy walk from place Michel Debré, the center of tourism that extends past the Château d'Amboise, most restaurants and cafés, and leads to the Château de Clos Lucé. Personnel speak French and English, and are extremely pleasant and helpful, offering brochures and maps for Amboise and the surrounding Loire Valley.
