Lille's Metro system was the world's first VAL: véhicule automatique léger (light-rail automated vehicle), a fully computerized, driverless light rail system. The Métro's two lines and 60 stations serve the city of Lille and surrounding towns.

Meetro line M1 connects Gare de Lille-Flandres with the Rihour stop, where you'll find the Office de Tourisme. From here, you can ride the Navette de Vieux Lille to reach other places in the historic center.

City Bus

Lille's city bus system has 68 routes, eight of which serve population centers in Belgium.

Navette de Vieux Lille

The navette (NVL shuttle bus) navigates the narrow streets of the historic center on a circle route, stopping wherever a passenger wishes to get out.

Tram

Two tram lines serve Lille.

Shared Bicycle

Ilévia also operates Lille's shared bicycle system.
