Villers–Bretonneux Australian
National Memorial

Located just east of the D23 highway, 3.4 km north of the town of Villers-Bretonneux (map), this is the most important memorial to Australian military personnel fallen in France during World War I.

Listed here are the names of 10,773 soldiers of the Australian Imperial Force who fell between the Force's arrival in France in 1916 and the war's end in 1918.

The Musée Franco-Australien is right in the town of Villers-Bretonneaux (map).
