An exhibition space next to the Luxembourg Palace and Gardens.

The Musée du Luxembourg is housed in a small building just to the west of the lovely Palais du Luxembourg, home of the French Senate.

The Musée du Luxembourg has become one of the premier exhibition spaces in Paris. We recently enjoyed an exhibit of works by the Nabis, a group of young French artists from the late 1800s. It included works by Pierre Bonnard, Édouard Vuillard, and many more.

Other shows have focused on the works of Alfonse Mucha, Tintorretto, and Rubens, as well as "the Golden Age of the English Painting" (1760s to 1820).

Exhibitions generally run for several months, so you will want to check to see what is on while you are in Paris.

And when you've enjoyed your visit, take a stroll in the lovely Luxembourg Gardens, just à coté.
