France Travel Planner by Tom Brosnahan & Jane Fisher   Transport for Épernay, France
Frequent trains make it easy to visit Épernay.

Fast TGV trains connect Paris's Gare de l'Est with Reims several times daily. The fastest travel times are about 45 minutes. From Reims you can take a TER regional train to Épernay. More...

There are also frequent trains between Reims and, so you can base in one town and still visit the other easily.

One TER train goes directly between Paris's Gare de l'Est and the Gare d'Épernay in 1-1/4 hours, but the three other daily trains require one or two connections, take up to 1-3/4 hours, and cost more than the Paris-to-Reims fare.

The Gare d'Épernay (train station) is just a short walk from the famous Avenue de Champagne and the Office de Tourisme (map). You can also walk to some of the major champagne houses, if you plan to do a tour and tasting.

Épernay's Gare Routière (Bus Station) is conveniently right next to the train station. There are no direct intercity buses between Paris and Épernay. More...

Because most of what you want to see is along the Avenue de Champagne, you can easily explore Épernay on foot.
