PlaneThere are international airports at Ajaccio, Bastia, Figari (north of Bonifacio) and Calvi. Air Corsica is the local airline serving French and European cities along with Air France, Hop!, Ryanair and others. FerryHuge ferryboats carrying cars and passengers regularly serve the Corsican ports of Ajaccio, Bastia, Calvi, Île-Rousse and Porto-Vecchio traveling from Marseille, Toulon, Nice, and the Italian ports of Livorno, Piombino and Savona (west of Genoa). Other connections from Corsica are to/from the islands of Elba, Majorca and Sardinia. Some voyages are overnight. Transport in CorsicaCarWith all the fine car ferry services, it's easy to bring your own vehicle to Corsica. Car hire/rental services are also available in all the cities with major airports and ferry ports. TrainChemins de fer de la Corse operates daily services on a line from Ajaccio north via Corte to Ponte Leccia, at which station the line divides with some trains going northwest to Île-Rousse and Calvi, and others northeast to Casamozza and Bastia. Four through trains run daily between Ajaccio and Bastia. Near the ends of the lines (Ajaccio, Bastia, Calvi), trains provide more frequent suburban service. BusCorsica Bus connects Calvi with Île-Rousse, Ponte Leccia, Bastia and points along the way. Other routes connect Ajaccio, Bonifacio, Corte and other towns. More...
