Disneyland Park is the heart of Disneyland Paris, which comprises two theme parks and other amenities. For children, entering Disneyland Park is entering a magical, happy place, populated by princesses and friendly oversized mice and other animals, colorful and lavishly decorated. Main Street USAYour visit begins on Main Street USA, a recreation of a small US town around 1900. With an Emporium for shopping (as well as many other shops), an ice cream parlor, a bakery, and horse-drawn carriages, it is a throwback to an earlier era. Main Street also hosts the daily parade; check the daily programme for specifics. You'll also want to pick up a map of the various lands to help you plan your visit. You can reach each of the lands from the central plaza. FrontierlandTo your left is Frontierland, home of the popular Big Thunder Mountain roller coaster ride, as well as other western adventures. More... AdventurelandNext comes Adventureland, where Indiana Jones and the Pirates of the Caribbean vie for your attention. More... FantasylandAnd who can resist Fantasyland? Go straight ahead through Sleeping Beauty's Castle, the symbol of Disneyland. More... DiscoverylandDiscoveryland brings a combination of futuristic rides such as Space Mountain: Mission 2, and retro rides like Autopia, where you can drive a 1950s style car. More... And throughout the park there are opportunities to meet and greet the various Disney characters and princesses—though you may have to wait in line to do so. Walt Disney Studios ParkThere's lots to choose from, and you'll also want to save time for visiting Walt Disney Studios Park and Disney Village. Note that Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios each require an admission ticket, but combined pricing makes it possible to visit both. You will also need to go through security screening before entering the parks area, but one screening covers both parks.
